Georgetown University Denies Christ

Repentant Peter_ El Greco

On April 14th, 2009 President Barack Obama gave a speech at Georgetown University touting his new budget proposal before Congress. Barack Obama requested the University to cover a symbol that would be above Barack Obama's head during the speech. The symbol is partly a Cross and the Catholic church's recognition of the initials of Christ. Georgetown University is a Catholic run University which professes their faith in Christ. Conceding to the wishes of a secular opportunist was a vast error in judgment to those that believe in Christ. This is what Christ has to say about such matters. Jesus is instructing his disciples on what it means to be a disciple in these next passages. Maybe the administration of Georgetown University in all their wisdom should have considered the very words that the Son of God used to describe such instances. If you consider yourself to be a Christian then these words apply but if you have no faith in Christ then you should seriously consider it or move along because this isn't about you.

Matthew 10: 21-39

Are not two sparrows sold for a [a]cent? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father.

"But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

"So do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows.

"Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven.

"But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven.

"Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.

"For I came to SET A MAN AGAINST HIS FATHER, AND A DAUGHTER AGAINST HER MOTHER, AND A DAUGHTER-IN-LAW AGAINST HER MOTHER-IN-LAW;

and A MAN'S ENEMIES WILL BE THE MEMBERS OF HIS HOUSEHOLD.

"He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.

"And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.

"He who has found his life will lose it, and he who has lost his life for My sake will find it.

Barack Obama is attempting to make his administration and the United States Government appear to be a secular organization in complete opposition to the wishes of the Christian majority. The head of Georgetown University that covered up their emblem of faith has shown they are either afraid of this secularist or they have forgotten these words from the faith they profess. In either case they have denied Christ. Only those leaders of Georgetown University and Christ know for sure where their hearts truly lie. They do still have time to ask forgiveness and again accept Christ as their savior and continue in service as better disciples of Christ having learned from their grevious mistake.

And the White House claims that the president always only has flags in the background, which is supposedly the only reason it was done. I'm not buying it.

As for the University, I doubt they were afraid. I think they just wanted the President of the United States to speak there, whatever the cost. It was wrong and I agree they should have refused. Obama would have cancelled, but so what? At least they would have stuck by their Christian convictions!

Good post, Jennifer.

Gayle, All other issues aside about flags, and symbols. If you profess to be a Christian then you stand firmly for words and teachings of Christ no matter who the President is. It shows to me that the leaders of this once fine school have submitted to the ways of the world and forgotten the words of Christ in favor of expediency and prestige.

I am glad you were inspired to write something. Otherwise I was planning on sending the dogs out to find you.

Well, I was baffled by the Obama administration's request to cover up the religious symbols where Obama would be standing giving his speech. But it was really tacky, I thought, to cover up these religious symbols with plywood painted black.

To my knowledge other presidents have spoken at Georgetown and have not asked that religious symbols be concealed. Do you know of any?

Oh, and BTW, I attended one of those Tea Parties last week. I suppose that makes me a danger to my country now. You might not want to hang out with me. I might be a bad influence on you. :-)

Hi Susie, I think all of this about Obama not wanting Christian symbols in the same photograph or video deserves closer scrutiny. This was no mistake or lapse in judgment, it was deliberate and designed to send a message directly to the Christian faithful. Even Jimah Carter who was a total boob and a miserable failure as a President gave respect to the Christain faith and would never try put himself before Christ.

I'd smile for the camera if I had my picture taken with you Susie as the Obama admin led us away to jail for protesting his abominable spending and tax plans.

I was suprised when I first heard about this, but that then turned into frustration. This President is doing all he can to downplay Christianity in our culture. I can't believe there are still people who don't think our faith is being attacked.

I agree with you completely, Jennifer, and I hope you will post a bit more often so Susie Q doesn't have to send her dogs after you! :)

Kris, Christians are being attacked. We are being besieged by a secular administration and a Christian hating left. They can hardly hide their venom for people of the Christian faith. No matter, we will weather this and hopefully like minded christians will wake up and to this mess.

Gayle, Susie can send her beautiful Collie out to find me any day of the week. I never met him but he looks like a real sweety.I'll try and post some more this week

Oh woe is us. The Christians is under attack.

Again.

Oddly enough President Obama's attempts to end war in the middle east and his apologies to Latin American counties for years of US imperialism strikes me as Christian things to do.

Go figure,

I'm big enough to stand up to attacks from the "Mistake of 08" or you Arthur. I'm secure enough in my faith so you or they can throw whatever you have and it won't matter much to me. I'm just pointing out that it's being done. I've got a lot of practice being attacked by weasels like you. Lets see if you are up to it with your "just been made whole blog".

As most people with a lick of common sense already know Obama and especially Biden are the "Mistake of 08" team and we will be attacked because of their weakness and miscalculation of our enemies. I don't like it and as a matter of fact I'm quite angry he is so weak and would let us become open to attack.

Despite what you and your "progressive" leaders say, the US is still a Christian majority nation and I'll never let you or the "Mistake of 08" team forget it.

Jennifer, you go, girl! :)

Jennifer, I have no excuse for not visiting your blog before. But I was so impressed with your comments over at Gayle's place, I had to come check yours out.

Yes, Georgetown was wrong to allow Obama to insult Christ. But Obama was wrong to insist they make the changes. There is no end to what Obama will do to elevate himself over God. He is a narcissist.

But I beg to disagree with you on this statement:

"Barack Obama is attempting to make his administration and the United States Government appear to be a secular organization in complete opposition to the wishes of the Christian majority."

I think you may be partly wrong on this statement. On the surface, it would seem Barack Hussein Obama is attempting to appear secular. But, in reality, he is attempting to make "The State" God. Just like the Communists did in Russia and China.

Place your faith in the State. The State will provide everything. There is no God but the State.

This is what I see Obama doing to America. Not only is he a narcissist, he is also a Marxist.

J_G said...

Point taken Mark about Obama wanting to make the state as God. I just assume secularists to actually be statists that believe the State to be the almighty and powerful so we are in agreement.

I stopped blogging for a while because I was angry at my own party for letting such a lame candidate be our representative and I just get fed up sometimes because of my disdain for liberals, atheists, humanists leftists, socialists, communists and plain old ignorant ludicrous idiots (which to me are all of the above) occupy too much space in the blogosphere and waste my precious time disagreeing with them and pointing out their flawed thoughts.

I'm pissed and ready to rumble for a while again. Thanks for stopping by.
