Last Friday when Standard and Poor's downgraded the United States of America's credit rating it was no surprise to us that look at things with common sense and responsibility. How can a great country keep spending much more than it takes in and have no plan or desire to curb such spending without dire consequences. The democrats would have you believe that if you would only agree to have your taxes raised we could solve this problem. That my friends couldn't be further from truth. If new taxes or more taxes were brought in the only result would be new or more spending, leaving the older debts to further reduce our country to the status not unlike those irresponsible countries in Europe such as Greece, Italy, Portugal and Spain.

The President of the United States is elected to lead the nation. The current resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue has at every opportunity to lead, recused himself with the preference to leave the responsibility to others. Barack Obama has no ability to lead and has no desire to be a leader of nation that prospers from a strong economy. Barack Obama accepts no responsibilities for his actions or rather, inaction and chooses to blame others for his massive mistakes and failures. It's almost comical if not sad that when the credit downgrade was announced, Barack Obama's senior adviser came out to announce that it was the fault of the Tea Party.

Well Mr Senior adviser, you have that kind of backward don't you? The Tea Party representatives were sent to Washington to stop the spending spree you, your party and your advisee have gone on with for the past three to four years. It's kind of ironic that you would blame the very people that came there to stop you. I guess your motto should be Mr Senior adviser, "Stop me before I spend again". Yes we will stop you Barack Obama, along with your pitiful and incomptent economic team at every possible opportunity.You have done enough damage to this country.

One thing is very clear though, you have proved a very important point. Socialism never works, it fails every time it's tried. Granted you and "Team Lenin" didn't get the full implementation of your socialist agenda through, the Tea Party stopped you before anymore of it could get enacted. Now it is time to reverse all of the socialist agenda and dismantle the things that were put into place under the regime of Barack Obama and send him and his rotten to the core ideas packing. Freedom and liberty will always prevail. We now must put our house back in order in spite of Barack Obama.

Q:How can we prevent someone as out of touch and ideologically extreme as Barack Obama from ever being elected President again?

A: Change the way we educate our children. We must educate our children to be strong individuals and not to fall prey to an all encompassing welfare state. This has to be part of the education of our children if this nation is to continue to be successful and prosperous.

Bin Laden Dead

It's taken almost 10 years but finally US Navy Seals found and killed Osama Bin Laden. My Mother was still alive when the 9/11 attack occured. Mom called me in the morning and woke me up to tell me to turn the TV on. I worked at night back then and I knew something bad was going on when Mom called.

Last night I was watching some TV when the news broke in to say that Obama was going to make an important announcement. I thought well, maybe he realized he wasn't up for the job as President and was going to resign like Nixon did. I watched live when Nixon came on TV. Well, that wasn't to be, Obama announced that Osama Bin Laden was killed by US forces while trying to capture him. There was good news and bad news to all of this. The good news is that Bin Laden is dead and no Navy Seals or other US military personnel were killed during the operation. The bad news, Obama is still President.

God Bless our Troops and thank you US Navy Seals.

After all the events of the last few weeks including the murders of six people in Arizona by an insane person, it has become quite apparent to the majority of responsible adults that the left is in a desperate struggle to remain in power. The leftist majority in the House of Representatives is now gone by a wide margin. The Senate democrat majority now teeters on just a few votes. The majority of State governorships are held by Republicans with the majority of State legislatures too. The recent missteps by the leftist press blaming the shootings in Arizona on Sarah Palin has left them with little or no credibility, if they had any at all up to that point. The so called progressive left is in free fall and they are falling under their own weight.

It remains clear that the American people have had enough of the divisive politics that Obama and his administration has brought with him. We now have Federal government agencies running roughshod over decent law abiding American businesses that attempt to meet all the moving target regulations the agencies come up with. An example of which is an out of control EPA run by the Obama administration. The EPA under the direction of Obama, his ultra left confidant and regulatory Czar Cass Sunstein and EPA administrator Lisa P. Jackson is defying the laws that Congress has enacted and is threatening even more jobs in region already hit hard by the Obamanomics. EPA Yanks Permit

In a show of elitist outrage, John D Rockefeller III the long serving leftist Senator from West Virginia wrote to Obama to voice his displeasure at this turn of events with the EPA. The newly elected Senator from West Virginia who is also the former Governor, Joe Manchin, who in an election ad shot the Obamacare bill with a hunting rifle and promised to repeal Obamacare, went on to feign his outrage with words like "unprecedented power grab" about the EPA stopping the planned coal mining operation. Who are these people kidding? This is the only way for leftists to gain and hold power. They do it through back door regulation with faceless nameless bureaucrats or those already set to take the fall when it is discovered what they are doing.

When the people find out that their own government is undermining their jobs, their security and the national interests in the name of a foreign idealism called socialism the politicians don't hold onto their offices in the majority of cases and must defer to the underhanded tactics previously described. This is but one example of how our country is being undermined by an administration bent on restructuring our entire societal structure. If truth is hate speech then so be it.

It appears that the leftists and their press minions are out to stifle free speech in the wake of the horrible murders in Arizona on Saturday. A 22 year old man shot and killed a 10 year girl, a Federal Judge and four others along with seriously wounding a sitting US House Representative. The left is complaining that speeches and words used by conservative personalities like Sarah Palin, Sharon Angle, Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck caused this young man to go and shoot these people. People that normally use their common sense know this is a bunch of poppycock. The young man that drew out a weapon and shot those people was mentally ill and I see those that say anyone or anything else is at fault other than this young man have mental problems of their own and should seek help for themselves.

The congresswoman that was shot was considered to be a moderate "blue dog" democrat and has been reviled as a traitor to many on the left if you go and read their posts over at the places they normally post before all this happened. Yet no one in the leftist press seems to make a note of that because it does not fit into their template and political agenda. Well, those of us that use our god given common sense do not blame the extremist left for this catastrophe but blame the person that was standing there pulling the trigger killing and wounding those people.

Of course everyone of you that have been around the block a few times and understand how things work understand that this catastrophe was going to somehow be politicized, it's inevitable and predictable. The gun control freaks will be coming out of the woodwork to ban this and that kind of gun. The leftist press will try and lay blame to all this because of too much speech. The rest of us will go on with our lives and some will utter a prayer or two for the families of those that died but life will go on and the struggle for freedom will continue unabated. I offer here my own prayers for the families because they are victims of the gunman and now the babbling nitwits trying to lay the blame on everyone but the person that caused this whole catastrophe.

New House of Representatives

Alright, now we have a new set of legislators in place and the Republicans hold the cards in the House. The Senate is still under "hostile to freedom" control. Obama still has his Obamacare in place and it's likely to to keep going until the Republicans can figure out how to get someone that matters elected to President. I have no false hopes that the Republicans can change things back to freedom any time soon because Obama and his leftist allies in Congress worked until the very last days of the 111th Congress to pass legislation that will take years to unwind and correct.

While talking to a few co-workers today the same theme kept coming up in the conversation. Most believe that Congress has to change the way business is done. The first thing is to design legislation in such a way that the average citizen can understand what the intent and details are in as few words as possible. No more 2000 page bills that have to be passed in order to know what's in the bill, those days are gone and better be buried. The next thing Congress has to do is stop the spending, stop the spending, did I say stop the spending? The current rate of spending is something around 60 percent of the gross domestic product and that is a recipe for disaster and even the most uneducated of my friends and co-workers can agree on that.

The other conversation centers on making this country go back to work making things. We have to bring manufacturing back to the American worker or all will be lost. A country cannot survive on pushing papers back and forth nor can it survive being a taker nation where the government pays 40 percent of it's people to not work. We must go back to being a maker nation or we will die. Why is that so damn hard to understand? History has proved it time and time again and now countries that used to be maker nations are collapsing under their own weight. Their governments are providing the people through government handouts rather than earnest work through employment of making and selling manufactured goods. Please, please dammit, use the common sense God has provided us with to understand this simple but important fact.

Once in a while a documentary about real facts with real people with real questions and answers comes along that changes everything. The documentary is called "Generation Zero" and it takes aim at my generation, the "Baby Boomers". The production goes on to say all the things that I have been saying about my own generation for many years. Baby boomers are spoiled brats that have to have everything now. They have no patience for politicians that don't grant them every so called "free" benefit and entitlement that comes along. They look at the government as the all encompassing nanny state that is there to care of everything for them. This is not what I was taught by my average middle class parents that lived through the great depression and my Father who fought in the Pacific during WWII.

The documentary also shows how the leaders of this generation of sucklings have failed us every step of the way but not being mature enough to just say "no, this is not the American and responsible way". Our current leadership in the White house and Congress are spending us into oblivion with all their plans of new government programs. They are borrowing money from countries that mean to do us harm by holding our debt and forcing their will on our country. Our great corporations that supplied us with manufacturing jobs that made us a strong nation have abandon us for the easy buck of manufacturing in China and selling us those cheaply made, poor quality goods making us reliant and used to shoddy workmanship with no recourse.

Folks, it's time to change things around. The time has come when the few Baby Boomers that are in tune to our peril and the younger generations must band together and stop this great fall into the abyss of history. We must change things. We have got to force the irresponsible leaders to stop the out of control spending. We cannot afford this debacle they call "Obamacare" and we have got to stop them from borrowing more money from the Chinese and Russians. You've got to do it, you've got to do it now. Congratulations go out to Scott Brown for winning the US Senate seat for the State of Massachusetts. This seat has been occupied by the Kennedy syndicate for over half a century and is now been taken by a man espousing conservative American ideals. The Democrats pulled out all the stops to keep this Senate seat and now it has become a sore and puffy shiner for them. Most of all it is a repudiation of the Obama disaster that has befallen this nation.

Having Massachusetts overwhelmingly vote for a man that embraces conservative ideals over a Democrat that would be little more than a rubber stamp for the onslaught of Obama's socialist agenda has inspired this writer. This victory has brought back some faith that there are still people that understand freedom and liberty.

Barack Obama and his party have become a threat to the American people and our freedom. Tuesday in Massachusetts in the special election for US Senate the next battle will take place. It looks better today than last week for Scott Brown to win against the freedom usurping ally of Barack Obama, Martha Coakly. Pray hard that Brown wins. This victory will be good to build upon to continue to defeat tyranny at the polls this coming November. I'm not so sure freedom can win in Massachusetts though, they have been conditioned for a long time to bend to the will of all encompassing government or "Nanny State" if you will, but there is a chance freedom can win there. Regardless of Tuesday's outcome November is coming and freedom loving Americans are coming out to take the country back and if the next set of politicians won't bend to the will of freedom loving citizens we'll put them out too. Maybe we can celebrate with another Boston Tea Party and move back to freedom and liberty as opposed to government control of every aspect of our lives.

This morning I read all about former president Jimmy Carter's recent remarks. Carter called people that disagree with Barack Obama and his policies nothing more than racists. That type of speech coming from the "American Jackass" is nothing new. It is the last bastion of scoundrels like Carter to reduce the conversation to calling people racists. Carter has no useful argument on why the American public strongly disagree with Barack Obama and his poorly thought out policies so he calls them racists in order to justify his own myopic vision of the American people and the wrong headed policies of the leftists now occupying the White House.

Unfortunately the American Jackass was the Commander in Chief when I served in the US Navy. The complete ineptitude of the American Jackass is history now but I still love my country and the US Navy in spite of Carter's almost criminal lack of leadership and common sense. It appears that the same type of lack of leadership is developing under Barack Obama which should be of no surprise to anyone. No Jackass, not because Obama is black but because Obama has no leadership abilities and he has no military or executive experience. It also true that Obama has a different outlook on America that was taught to him by his lunatic fringe Mother and the other leftist fringe elements that Obama has chosen to surround himself with.

So Mr Carter,you are wrong again about the American people. They don't want an overbearing government shoved down their throats. They don't want to pay huge burdensome taxes, they don't want their children to have to pay an endless drowning debt to foreign competitor nations and most of all jackass, the vast majority of Americans that think that way are not racists. That's why Jimmy Carter, the American Jackass was a one term president that the majority of Americans were glad to see go. Now if we could only stop this jackass from further insulting with his drivel by telling him to just shut up.

9/11/2001, A Day to Remember

Today we remember those that died willingly and unwillingly on September 11th 2001. We must never forget the cause of this planned attack was radical Islam. It was radical Islamists that flew the planes into the Twin Towers in New York killing more than three thousand. It was radical Islamists that flew the plane into the Pentagon killing almost 200 people. It was radical Islamists that flew the flight 93 into the ground in a field in western Pennsylvania on their way to fly the plane into the Capitol building or White House.

We must also remember the people that died trying to save others in those burning buildings in New York. The bravery of those that were willing to risk their lives to save others is still very breathtaking and awe inspiring to this writer. These attacks have also inspired many young men and women to join the military to fight radical Islam wherever they are. I commend those brave young men and women even as they are scorned by certain allies of the current administration.

Today on September 11th 2009 the world is a different place. We have an administration that has apologized to our enemies and made us weak with talk of compromise for our security. Let us not fail in our duties as Americans to remember what it takes to keep this nation secure which is through strength and vigilance. I pray that we will not suffer another attack on our country but I also pray that Americans come to their senses and reject the weakness and compromise that this administration brings.

I've been away on vacation for most of the week. I did happen to see the awful speech Obama made while standing in front of senile Aunt Nancy and vinegar Joe Biden. The speech Obama made was one of his typical teleprompter inspired speeches. There was nothing special or significant about his speech other than to repeat the same old lines he's been repeating about his health care reform proposal.

Incidentally, just where is the Obama health care reform proposal? Everything he proposed in his speech is in neither the current House or Senate bills. Those two bills make it clear in no uncertain terms that the government will be in full control of all American's health care in just a few years after the passage and signing of the bill into law. How is it Obama keeps saying his proposal isn't about the government takeover of every American's health care and that of illegal aliens too? Those things are in the current bills before the House and Senate. Has Obama even submitted his plan to Congress? The answer is no, Obama has not sent any kind of bill to Congress whatsoever that pertains to health care reform, none.

Obama can get up in front of any audience he wants with as many cameras he can fit into the room but he still hasn't proved a thing because he hasn't sent anything to Congress for them to discuss or vote on. The bills currently being talked about have been on the blocks ready to go for many years and have been tweaked slightly but they are the same government take over bills that the left has dreamed of implementing for many years.

All Obama accomplished last night was another song and dance about how much Obama cares about America's health care. Obama has done little or nothing to convince most Americans that his proposal or lack thereof is anything special. The bills before Congress now will drastically increase our national debt, ration health care because they will have to and put the power of life and death into the hands of small group of government crazy leftists that have no moral compass. Obama can deny or try and change the wording of those important facts but those facts are the part and parcel of government controlled health care.
It still amazes me how some people can still be swayed by such superficiality that Obama blurts out reading from a teleprompter. It's the same old rotten cheese in a new wrapper. I suppose that "There's none so blind as they that will not see".

I took down the post about Edward Moore Kennedy because I got tired of seeing that buffoon so back to ur regularly scheduled program.

Now that we have all come to the conclusion that the current debate on health care is not about helping people or saving money it is about the government take over of the American health care system. We must do all that we can to prevent the government from taking over or liberty and freedom will be a thing of the past.

I listened to a forum yesterday held at the Constitution Center in Philadelphia that was conducted by radio talk show host Dom Giordano of WPHT 1210 in Philadelphia. Dom is a straight shooting guy so he had both democrat and Republican congressional representatives there to present their views and answer questions that were selected from people that emailed them to Dom. I heard some pretty slick answers from the democrat representatives that made it sound like they were interested in the welfare of their constituents. One particular answer from representative Chakka Fattah(d)of Philadelphia was telling. Fattah said that was no way they will pass the bill without the government option nor should they.

There you have it folks,it's all in a nutshell. The democrats have no other reason to continue on with this debate about saving money or helping anyone. This whole debate for them is a gratuitous and naked grab for power. It's time to slay the dragon of government take over of health care.

Now is not the time to let up on the pressure to sink the government takeover of our health care. Obama has signaled that he would opt for a co-op type of public option similar to the Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac style GSE (government sponsored entity). This is nothing more than a back door approach to a government takeover. Not only is a Fannie Mae style option unacceptable but it is another recipe for financial disaster except now it will be our health care that will be threatened by such a huge mistake. Remember how the financial disaster we are currently experiencing was started at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac? Now the leftists want to give us the same type of disaster for our health care? How nice of the congressional leftists and Obama to be thinking of us. We should all be thanking them instead of fighting them shouldn't we?

The leftists in Congress that call themselves the "Progressives" are in a tizzy that Obama has stepped back from a full frontal takeover. The extreme leftist Progressives want a complete takeover in the form of a single payer system run by the federal government as soon as they are able to pass that legislation and the public be damned. They have said so repeatedly and make no apologies for it and that's why they have expressed such anger with Obama. They want government run health care NOW!!!

Obama sees his numbers dropping and his handlers David Axlerod and Raum Emmanuel see they must try and slow down the process in light of the overwhelming opposition. The handlers see they must find ways to obfuscate and fool the public into thinking they are not trying for a government takeover when that is their very plan and has been all along. Listen to them, they tell you that is the plan, it's their minions in the leftist press that they use to try and fool everyone.

Now is the time to keep up the pressure on your representatives to go back to the drawing board and come up with sensible solutions to health care reform. The government option is out of the question and they have to be forced to understand that. They can change some of the insurance laws to open competition to the 1300 insurance companies that now exist. They can do a lot of things to improve and build upon a free market system that will lead to a better system for all. It is after all the government that has interfered with the free market that has caused so many of the problems that exist just as it is with the housing, financial and auto markets. To let the government run our health care and let them determine who will and won't get which treatments is a disaster waiting to happen.

The reform must contain provisions that has reform for the tort system that diverts too much precious money to a small group of lawyers in the name of malpractice law suits. The money doctors, nurses and hospitals have to spend on insurance to protect themselves from greedy underhanded lawyers could be used to help insure and care for those that currently do not have access to health care. This is going to be difficult because after all, most of the people that are sent to the US Congress to represent us are lawyers. The current proposed legislation from the US House and the US Senate have no tort reform provisions at all, none! Does that surprise you? It should be no surprise that lawyers are the most self serving groups in the US Congress, the laws they make are designed to profit them in some way shape or form.

Also, among those that expect to gain assistance to health care must be legal citizens and be able to prove it. Just as the democrats have demanded of their constituents to see a picture ID to get into their Town Hall Meetings to discuss health care reform, those that expect others to pay for their health care must be legal US citizens and be able to prove it. These are some of the major issues you must express to your representatives when you speak with them.

Obama and his democrat leftists in the Congress are not going to let up trying to takeover as much of your life and the US economy as they can get away with. You must be just as fervent in protecting your freedoms.

Well, Obama and the democrats are lying right to your face. Obama and the democrats have no interest in listening to your opinions, all Obama and the democrats would like to do is have complete government control over the way you get health care and more, much more!

Obama has already taken control over a majority of the US Banking system and he has taken control over the two of the US car manufacturers. Obama ordered one to be sold off to Fiat against the wishes of Fiat stock holders and many in the industry. Obama took over General Motors and fired the CEO who was already in the process of turning the company around. Obama and democrats are going for the socialist brass ring and are trying to pass as much legislation through as they can before the American people wake up and see they have just lost their freedoms.

The pressure is getting to the democrats; they seem to be on the defensive quite a bit lately. Today while Hillary Clinton was in Africa on a tour as the Secretary of State, she took some questions from students. One student asked her a question through an interpreter and the train wreck that is Hillary Clinton began. Clinton and most of her democrat colleagues are so self-absorbed they can no longer tell what reality is. As an example; recently US Senator Barbra Boxer from (d) California angrily dressed down a US Army General for calling her Ma'am instead of Senator at a recent Senate hearing on Afghanistan. Boxer exclaimed indignantly to the Army General "I worked hard to get this position, call me Senator". Arrogance just drips from the way Boxer talks down to others, even Army Generals whom are people that actually did work hard to get where they are.

Hillary Clinton is still steaming that the election was stolen from her by upstart Obama and she just hasn't gotten over it yet. Yes, folks these are the people that won the election and it hasn't taken as much time as I thought it would for them to show their true colors. Imagine a diplomat, and not just any diplomat but the US Secretary of State the highest ranking US diplomat snapping at some African college student for asking a simple question. It's going to be a long three and half years for the American people.

If Obama and the democrats get control over your health care and your digitalized medical records your freedoms will be a thing of the past. When you get older and are in need of essential care to extend your life they will be able to deny that care because you will become too expensive to keep alive. They will be able to deny you treatment and doctor care for whatever reason they want and there will be no appeal. Not only that, they will be in control of your records and given the recent debacles such as "Cash for Clunkers" do you really want these people to be able to manage your health and your documentation on the internet. Oh geez, now I'm really angry!!!!

Remember when Obama said if you're in pain take a pain killer and don't worry about the hip replacement. Words have meaning and occasionally Obama does let the truth about his plans slip threw his clammy facade.

Dr Obama's Magical Elixir

I'm putting this one up again because apparently not everyone got the message. Dr Obama's Magical Elixir is going right along in it's plan. Apparently, according to "Vinegar Joe" Biden, the economy was much worse then they predicted and more measures are going to have to be instituted. Without blinking an eye I'll tell you what those measures will be; raising taxes on the middle class which are very people they say they are trying to protect. Making a new VAT (Value added Tax) which is nothing more than a national sales tax. Cutting benefits to Social Security recipients and reducing the amount Medicare pays to doctors and hospitals and cutting the services covered.

Another part of the Magical Elixir plan is the take over of your health care. It will be set up so your health care will be doled out by a government agency and they will be able to tell the doctor which medications and treatments they will be allowed to administer to you. Seniors will now be a target because they use medical benefits more than any other group. Go to Canada, Great Britain or France and see if you get a hip replacement when your 75 years old. Not going to happen.

That is exactly the way the plan has always been conducted and the plan is as predictable as the sun shining on the east coast the first thing every morning. There is nothing new in his plan and there is no hope of retaining freedom if Dr Obama is continued to be allowed to use his freedom robbing Magical Elixir to spend us into oblivion and saddle the next generations with monumental debt, unrestrained government power and the daily interferences in our businesses and our business. Some out there believe that socialism/communism are the answers to equalizing results but the only thing it accomplishes is making two classes; the workers and the rulers.

We are not a nation to be ruled, we are a nation that demands a limited role of government by our Constitution. Am I reading this situation correctly? Now that there is a economic downturn, our Constitution needs to be torn up and a new plan installed by those that wish to rule instead of govern. I hope more people get the message this time.

I had the opportunity to watch and listen to the speech and the dressing down of the Obama administration by Dick Cheney. It was quite apparent to those that possess the ability to think for themselves that the speech given by Dick Cheney came from his extensive experience. Cheney pointed out that our country is now being run by people that do not have the security of this nation in control nor do they possess the ability to do so. Obama has gone around the world to apologize for the US protecting itself and her allies from attacks from terrorists that seek to destroy us. Dick Cheney makes no apologies nor should he for keeping our enemies on the defensive thereby denying them the opportunity to attack us again. Cheney pointed out that the three terrorists that were interrogated with enhanced procedures gave up the essential information that was needed to protect this country from another attack. That is a fact that will be borne out as soon as the Obama administration decides to let the American public know the whole truth and not just bits and pieces like their lapdogs in the press are so famous for.

All in all it was a good day for America because a truly great American, Dick Cheney was able to expose the current administration as the "Emperor with no Clothes" and to show we must get on with the business of securing the nation once again against those that would destroy us.

America and our way of life is still in danger, the enemies of freedom are still barking at the door and they must be defeated. I call on all freedom loving Americans to come together as our forefathers did to rid ourselves of tyranny and those that would enslave us and rule us instead of representing us. The founders did not always agree on the methods to be employed but they always agreed on the concept of freedom.That is something that is sorely lacking in today's Congress and Executive branches.

Yes folks that's right "Obamanomics". That is what I call the deliberately poor decision making coming from the Obama administration. The Obama administration has presided over a faltering US Economy since it's coronation back in January. Obama was left with a recession just as George W. Bush was left one by Bill Clinton. This recession would have been just severe had it been allowed to run it's course had there not been so much Obamanomic inference. The deliberate interference in the business cycle that the Obama administration has willfully perpetrated has taken a recession and turned it into a disaster. The government under the guise of helping the economy has hampered the recovery process by it's taking measures to prevent the markets of cleaning house all on it's own. Taking over the helms of the major banks and cutting pay for top executives may look good to the envy class that put Obama into office but it does nothing to help the recovery from a recession.

The government under the direction of Obama has overstepped it's constitutional authority by interfering with business instead of being the referee upholding the laws the govern business. How is it that the government now owns stock and controlling interest in the major banks and the automobile companies? Obama fired the CEO of GM even before the ink was dry on the deal to purchase GM's stock and become the defacto board of directors. The Obama auto task force has targeted over 700 Chrysler dealers for extinction under corrupted bankruptcy rulings demanded by the Obamanomics team. Each one of those dealers have many hard working people that will lose their jobs along with suppliers and other business that support each one of those dealers with parts, uniforms for mechanics, cleaning services for buildings and other related services that the community depends on for jobs. With one swipe of a pen Obamanomics has wiped out thousands upon thousands of decent paying jobs.

Then to ad insult to injury Chrysler had it's advertising budget slashed by the Obamanomics task force in order to appear as though it is saving money when that is last thing that should have been cut. Chrysler needed to reassure it's customers that if they bought a car or truck they wouldn't be left hanging out to dry and there would be support for their new vehicles. A coworker that was planning on buying a Chrysler minivan to use for his side business decided not to buy the Chrysler because of the uncertainty that the Obamnomics team has let flourish. This is why it is never wise to let government bureaucrats have anything to do with running any kind of business at all.

The government's duty was to enforce the laws that were made to make businesses deal fairly with customers, keep their books straight and pay the taxes that are levied and provide a stable environment for those businesses to do business. The government has gone completely outside the framework that the founders have laid down to prevent such things from happening. Our government is completely out of control and no longer responds to the will of the people and the Constitution that was written to keep the beast of tyranny at bay.

Republicans have voted to end this Voucher program because it has helped minority children get ahead with a better education. Americans are under attack again from another foreign borne force. A new strain of swine flu has come across our borders from Mexico to infect us and kill many of us. So far there has been only one death in the United States but it was a Mexican child that was brought across the border into Texas that already had the virus. Let's face it folks Mexico is a toilet and it's a no wonder people are dying there from this flu strain. The hygiene and cleanliness in Mexican cities is virtually unheard of. Mexico City is one of the most crowded cities in the world and much of it can be described as squalid. My question is now what do we do? Our country is in a in a state of free fall from common sense. We have people in our own government holding the opinion that we should have open borders and it's probably going to happen given the outlook of our lame brain President.

At this point we aren't sure how this flu is going to spread and how many people it will affect while running it's course. One thing is for certain though, there will be a lot of liberal hand wringing down in Washington DC on whether to do the right thing or whether they will do the politically correct thing. The common sense thing to do is to shut down the borders tightly with Mexico and keep it closed until they clean up the sewer they call a country. Hey, just because you're poor doesn't mean you have live in squalor. The Mexicans have had all the opportunity to take their country into the 21st century. They however still insist on living in a third world country in spite of all the opportunities they are afforded with free trade with the United States and the natural resources they have. The thing that angers me the most is the Mexicans come flooding across our borders looking to better themselves but then they try to turn this country into the same toilet they just came from and wonder why we get so pissed off about it. If nobody else will say it I will; stay the hell in your own country and keep your squalor to yourselves.

Georgetown University Denies Christ

On April 14th, 2009 President Barack Obama gave a speech at Georgetown University touting his new budget proposal before Congress. Barack Obama requested the University to cover a symbol that would be above Barack Obama's head during the speech. The symbol is partly a Cross and the Catholic church's recognition of the initials of Christ. Georgetown University is a Catholic run University which professes their faith in Christ. Conceding to the wishes of a secular opportunist was a vast error in judgment to those that believe in Christ. This is what Christ has to say about such matters. Jesus is instructing his disciples on what it means to be a disciple in these next passages. Maybe the administration of Georgetown University in all their wisdom should have considered the very words that the Son of God used to describe such instances. If you consider yourself to be a Christian then these words apply but if you have no faith in Christ then you should seriously consider it or move along because this isn't about you.

Barack Obama is attempting to make his administration and the United States Government appear to be a secular organization in complete opposition to the wishes of the Christian majority. In either case they have denied Christ. Only those leaders of Georgetown University and Christ know for sure where their hearts truly lie. Today I read about what Arlen Specter got for his vote for the stimulus pork package. First Senator Specter was invited to a big shebang party where lots of people paid lots of attention to him and made him the life of the party because he was willing to jump ship and vote with irresponsible democrats for the stimulus pork package. The bigger and more damning reason for his vote was nothing more than him collecting his 30 pieces of silver for an earmark or pork barrel project he's been trying to keep on life support since the democrats took over Congress and took his chairmanship away from him. Obama promised to fund Specter's NIH or National Institute for Health with $10 billion dollars in exchange for his vote on the pork package. Last year Specter tried to introduce legislation to get $5.2 million dollars for this wasteful and redundant agency. That's quite the difference eh? I guess $10 billion is the new 30 pieces of silver adjusted for inflation.

In Pennsylvania Specter has always been known for voting against his constituent's wishes. In 1993 his phone lines nearly melted down in all his offices throughout the State and his Washington DC office mailroom was so jammed filled with mail they couldn't handle it all and the message clearly was to vote against the Bill Clinton "Assault Weapon" ban. Specter of course did the wrong thing again and voted for that moronic feel good legislation. Then during the William Jefferson Clinton impeachment hearings in the Senate he embarrassed the State again with his vote against impeachment. It wasn't so much his vote against the impeachment that was the embarrassment, it was his reasoning. Specter in his argument against impeachment said and I quote "My position in the matter is that the case has not been proved. I have gone back to Scottish law where there are three verdicts: guilty, not guilty, and not proved." . There is no provision in the Constitution to quote Scottish law Mr. Specter. The choice was yay or nay.

Well, those things are behind us now. Arlen Specter is a a fraud of the worst kind. President Bush tried to reach out to Specter and got behind him to get him the Senate Judiciary Committee Chairmanship back in 2004 but Specter did what he always does; the wrong thing. Specter went to the wall to make it more difficult for the President to do his job protecting the nation from terrorists. Specter opposed the wiretaps that the administration was doing because Specter had no understanding of the electronics issues of this new age of communication with cell phones, wireless and satellite networks that the terrorists took great advantage of fighting our troops in Iraq and supplying themselves with funds to commit more acts of terrorism.

I'll be joining my good friend Skye over the next months at the PACC - Pennsylvania Conservative Committee to help create and establish a more conservative Republican party here in Pennsylvania. The mission there is to defeat the elitist moderates that have driven the party to defeat after defeat over the last few years giving us a democrat controlled Congress and worst yet the Obamanation. The wild spending has to stop. The moral decay and strong current toward socialism has to be reversed. It has to be done at the ballot box with an educated public. After the last half of a century of democrats working day and night to dumb down the population and teaching them that only the government can solve their problems I suppose we'll be fighting an uphill battle. With any luck we'll be able to defeat Specter and his moderate wishy-washy ideas with a real conservative that will stand strong for the conservative values people long for here in Pennsylvania. There is no magic bullet though and it will take a lot of hard work.

The Philadelphia Inquirer and Daily News which are both owned by Philadelphia Media Holding LLC have not paid their debts since last June and are now headed for extinction as they should. They have lost readers and advertisers because they still insist on being a leading Northeast leftist publication. There was a glimmer of hope after the recent buyout when owner Brian Tierney said he would change the way the paper does business. Well Brian Tierney has proved to be just another one of those northeast moderate Republicans that insist on trying to be just like democrats. Nothing changed at the Inquirer or the Philadelphia Daily News, they still keep on reporting only one side of the story and were completely in the tank for the democrats and Obama in the last election.

Mr Tierney even went to Harrisburg with hat in hand to see the former Mayor of Philadelphia Ed Rendell (d) who is now Governor for bailout money to keep his leftist publications from going under. How would that work? The government would now control the very entity the founding fathers specifically mentioned to be the watchdogs of the government. Good idea Mr Tierney. After a Wall Street Journal editorial exposed this fiasco in progress this dirty deal has come to a screeching halt publicly. Mr Tierney insists he isn't asking for bailout money but you can call it whatever you want it's still letting government in where it has no business being, in the newspaper business.

Governor Rendell had a special deal with the former owners of the Inquirer. They were not given any trouble by then Mayor, Ed Rendell when the Inquirer and Daily News moved all of their printing to outside of the city to Conshohocken and in return they printed no negative stories about Mayor Cheesesteak. The paper avoided paying city wage taxes this way and excoriated every other business trying to do the same thing. They sold the paper and it's holdings to Mr Tierney's group back in 2006, they have had huge losses ever since and still owe millions of dollars on the balance and late payments. You should have changed things when you had the chance Mr Tierney. Maintaining a leftist publication has made you go broke. Maybe you can go see ACORN for a loan.

On the other hand The Philadelphia Bulletin is gaining readers, revenue and respect due it's return to basic old time honest journalism by reporting the whole story and using the balanced approach to journalism. That's something we haven't seen in many years in this country especially in the print news media and in the Northeast of all places. I will be quoting from stories from the Philadelphia Bulletin from time to time so I just wanted everyone to know that the Bulletin has become a source of real truth, real journalism as our founding fathers wanted them to be.

Yesterday the US Senate voted on a bailout bill that not only gives the oversight to to the very same people that have caused this whole financial mess it also ups the price tag to 850 billion dollars from 700 billion. There was a lot of back slapping and self congratulations at the press conference for wonderful and smooth process of passing this bill. Not one word was spoken about how or who was going to pay for this overinflated financial monstrosity. Senator Tom Coburn of Oklahoma gave his enlightened insight on the the floor of the Senate during the debate before the vote. I think his remarks are the most relevant I have heard yet on this whole matter. I hope some of the Representatives in the House were listening to this argument and take it heart when they vote on this unconstitutional bailout bill on Friday.

Some will say they were forced by the government to make risky loans for mortgages to people that had no business getting mortgages. A part of that is true. The US Government said they would back loans through Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae as long as the loans were going to the low income communities. The Community Reinvestment Act punished banks for not lending to low income communities.

The practice by banks of keeping lending out of low income, high risk neighborhoods used to called "Redlining". The group called ACORN ( Association of Community Organizations for Reform ) that Obama was part of in his community organizer days, is largely responsible for forcing Congress to pass this poorly thought out and irresponsible legislation.

I don't have a problem with banks making loans to low income people. I do have a problem with the government telling banks to make loans to people that they knew could never pay back the money they borrowed and guaranteeing those mortgage loans. The banks could have found ways to make reasonable protections for their share holders and customers but they chose to go all out thinking they would be protected by government regulators. It's a pretty complicated mess but it all boils down to the government was irresponsible. The banks were irresponsible and now just 20 years after the last bank debacle with the great Savings and Loan swindle of the late eighties, we the taxpayers are going to foot the bill again.

Years and years have gone by since this problem started. Many economic experts and some in the current administration have been sounding the alarm but to no avail. Here we are again having to pay for the stupidity, greed and outright thievery by both the US Congress and the major financial institutions on Wall Street. The most galling and bitter pill is that the very same people that are responsible for this mess with be in charge of the 700 billion dollars that is supposed to fund this clean up. There will be more fraud and abuses and if by some chance Obama becomes president matters will only become worse. His plans are for more spending and who will pay for it all. The very people that always pay, the middle class working people.

When I hear Obama with his "Main street" campaign all I can think of is "yeah, main street alright, that's where he plans to get the money to pay for this debacle".

Over the last days the financial institutions that have been financing sub prime mortgages have been falling like flies. Lehman Brother's went bankrupt, Merril Lynch was sold at a bargain basement price and AIG insurance had to be bailed out with a loan from the US Treasury to the tune of $85 billion. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have been the center of this fallout. They have been making bads loans for years now and like Jeremiah Wright the racist anti American preacher of the church Barack Obama attended would say "the chickens have come home to roost"

These two governmental/corporation institutions Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac have been the backbone of the mortgage lending industry for the last few years. They have also been the slush fund for democrat party leadership too. The Chairman of the committee that is supposed to regulate Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, Christopher Dodd of Connecticut instead has been receiving campaign money contributions and has done nothing to stop the hemorrhaging of losses at the taxpayer backed corporations. The number two and three recipients of campaign money contributions from Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae has been Joe Biden and Barack Obama. Barack Obama has thought so much of this deal with Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae he chose Franklin Raines the CFO of Fannie Mae as his top campaign financial adviser and head of the committee to choose a running mate. Joe Biden was then chosen as Barack Obama's running mate because he too was in the deal. Between Biden and Obama they took about a million and half dollars in campaign contributions.

So now today when I log on to my internet provider I peruse the most recent writings from the Associated Press (the Obama Campaign) I see the story that Joe Biden is now calling for Americans to pay more taxes because it is the patriotic thing to do. Hmmmm, let me get this straight, after years of raiding the taxpayer financed agencies of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, vinegar Joe Biden and his cronies Senator's Barack Obama, and Chris Dodd want us the US taxpayer to pay more taxes and call it the patriotic thing to do. How ludicrous is that? The very people that benefited so much from the agencies that have been the center of the financial mess we're currently in, want us now to pay more taxes to bail this slush fund out. This is what is known as "huztbah", which means someone who would kill their parents and plead mercy before the court because they are an orphan. That pretty much sums it up.

Obama's Zinger - He Knew it Was Wrong

Last Wednesday Governor Sarah Palin addressed the Republican National Convention and the nation as John McCain's pick for the Republican Vice Presidential candidate. As Governor Sarah Palin was delivering her address she experienced some troubles with her teleprompter. Sarah Palin is quick on her feet so she threw in a completely ad libbed line while technicians scrambled to correct the problem. Governor Palin asks the crowd and TV viewers if they knew the difference between a pit bull and a hockey Mom. The punch line was "it's the lipstick". That was pretty funny and everyone enjoyed the ad libbed line and Sarah Palin got on with her address.

Fast forward to about a week later. Obama is on the campaign trail his poll numbers are plummeting. His Vice Presidential candidate is sweeping through the Midwest to small party faithful crowds that can barely stay awake for a Joe Biden speech. The die hard democrats come out and listen politely applaud and go home unsatisfied with this obvious blowhard.

Obama while at a gathering in Virginia, a hotly contested race, is feeling the heat from the popularity of John McCain's newly picked running mate Sarah Palin. So at a strategy meeting sometime during the weekend they come up with idea that now is the good time to go on the negative attack. I'm sure they surmised they can't make it look like an obvious attack so they come up with some "zingers" to throw into his presentations to make it look like he too can use some one liners for some pizazz. Well, I have to tell you that lipstick metaphor was a bad one. Obama shouldn't even be running against Sarah Palin at this point to begin with. That's what he picked vinegar Joe Biden for.

Here's what went wrong and how we know that Obama knew it was wrong too.

I watched the Obama You Tube where he is accused of smearing the Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin with the old metaphor about "Lipstick on a pig". I have no doubt in my mind that this was intentional and Obama knew it was the wrong thing to do but he did it anyway. When you watch the clip, notice Obama's body language and speech pattern. He's a bit uptight, he's pacing back and forth, he stutters a bit and then right as he is delivering his punch line watch what he does with his left hand. Obama covers his eyes and face with his left hand while he is delivering his one line zinger. Ouch!!!! That really made him look bad and he knows it and his body language clearly tells the story.

The metaphor about the lipstick on a pig is an old one, I've seen it used many times by the likes of Dick Cheney and a few other pretty aggressive campaigners. Obama obviously knew that this use of the metaphor was directly insulting Sarah Palin and the use of the word pig is about as complimentary as using the word "ho". This is why women are moving over to the McCain-Palin camp. Obama needs to apologize and get on with his campaign of "Hope and Change" but it seems there is actually none.

Sarah Palin,the Governor of Alaska, devoted Hockey Mom, former Mayor and City councilperson tonight gave one of the best speeches I've heard in many years. Sarah Palin had me standing up and clapping for her heartfelt and to the point words she gave to us tonight from the Republican National Convention. Sarah came out and introduced her family as any proud Mom would do and you could see the love in eyes and hear it in her voice for all of her children, her husband and her Mom and Dad.

Then Sarah got down to business. Governor Palin gave a speech that showed why she is Governor of our largest state that supplies the rest of the United States with 20 percent of our oil. Sarah Palin is tough and witty and knows how to see the situation for what it is. During her speech she described her qualifications as compared to the top of the ticket on the democrat side. Obama pales in comparison to this woman. Barack Obama's ideas are vapid, self serving and spell doom for our economy if elected. I noticed at the end of Governor Palin's speech were the words"God Bless America". Seems to me I've never heard that when Obama has ended his teleprompter inspired speeches. As far as Vinegar Joe Biden goes, his speeches are someone else's words anyway but we're patiently waiting for the next embarrassment from that gaffe bag.

All in all, Governor Palin gave a speech and introduction of herself and her family to a nation that is looking for leadership, common sense and a sense of duty to country from the next President. Sarah Palin is up to the job as vice President and if the sour looks and petty criticism over at the "in the tank for Obama" media of CNN, MSNBC, NBC etc... is any indication, they also believe that too and are extremely unhappy.

After four days of negative messages to a depressed constituency the democrats were dealt the coup de grâce from John McCain and the Republican party. Sarah Heath Louise Palin , the current Governor of the State of Alaska has been nominated by John McCain to be his running mate and will undoubtedly be the next Vice-President of the United States.

This is great choice for the Republican ticket. Sarah Palin is strong conservative woman that comes from a humble background. With the democrat convention scheduled to start officially on Monday morning the democrats are in a state of total disarray. There are many disgruntled democrats that are very angry that Hillary Clinton was defeated by Barack Obama. If you listen to people like former democrat Vice Presidential candidate Geraldine Ferraro the only reason Barack Obama is even on the ticket is because he is black.

The groups that have formed over the last few months that are challenging the notion that Obama won the democrat party primaries are growing larger and stronger every day. The democrat women that feel disenfranchised started a group called P.U.M.A. meaning "Party Unity My Ass". Now all of the disenfranchised democrats have consolidated under an umbrella group called Just Say no Deal. I myself believe that they are right. The Obama campaign is funded by far left extremist George Soros and the leftist/socialist organization Move on.org. I believe they conspired with the willing accomplices in the press to bring Obama to the front because he is a male and he is black. Even the leftists for all their bluster about feminism still can't bring themselves to consider a woman for President. You go girls, John McCain welcomes you and your vote.

The political Gods have smiled down on the American people and have handed them a gift that will keep on giving. Today, Senator Joseph Biden the democrat party US Senator from Delaware has indicated to Americans that he will now honor us by becoming a candidate for President. The first words out of his mouth on the campaign trail are typical Joseph Biden. Joseph Biden indicated everyone else in the race was completely wrong about US policy in Iraq but gave no details on how he would do things differently. The democrat party Senator also added some typical condescending and racially charged comments about Senator Barack Obama with a remark that the Senator from Illinois running for President was the “first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy”. Just a few short months ago Senator Joseph Biden had to "clarify" to the press, remarks he had made about recent immigrants from India being owners of 7-11 stores.

Having Joseph Biden in the campaign will keep reporters plenty busy with his statements and “off the cuff” remarks. Joseph Biden has already stuck his foot into his mouth but this is only beginning because this is an ongoing affliction for him and it will prove to be endless entertainment for the rest of us. Mr. Biden treats all others that do not agree with him in his typical condescending way and will bring plenty of attention to himself and his intellectually devoid and dishonest political party during the upcoming Presidential campaign season. The Unknown Senator

OK, now I've heard it all. During the upcoming Democrat party convention, Barack Obama has invited the "lights are on but nobody is home" junior Senator from Pennsylvania Bob Casey Jr. to speak. The big question from all of us here in Pennsylvania is; can he really speak? Ever since his campaign back in 2006 Bob Casey Jr. hasn't said much at all. He never told us what he stood for or what he was against. Casey never even told us why he wanted to be a Senator instead of State Treasurer, heck he never showed up or said anything about that job either. All the Democrat party knew was they didn't want Rick Santorum as the US Senator so the party pushed their candidate who seemed to be comatose up onto the stage and implored their party faithful "vote for this man" and they did. Casey also was the proud owner of a famous name from Pennsylvania so that helped a bit too.

I guess having Bob Casey Jr. is a good choice for Barack Obama. Casey fits in with the program. It seems that Barack Obama talks and talks and talks but never seems to say anything. Now, Barack Obama is going to have the US Senator from Pennsylvania that has had historically nothing to say at all to speak at the convention.

Back in 1992 Bob Casey Sr. wasn't invited to speak at the Democrat party convention because Bob Casey Sr. was a pro life advocate and then Governor of Pennsylvania that also happened to be a Democrat and Bob Casey Jr.'s father. Being pro life in the Democrat party was as politically incorrect as it could be back then and there was no chance of Bob Casey Sr. speaking at the convention in those days. The Democrat party was embarrassed to have Bob Casey Sr. as a Democrat so they stuck him and the Pennsylvania Democrat contingent back into the far reaches of the hall behind a post where no one could hear or see them.

Now Barack Obama needs Pennsylvania to win the election in November. Without Pennsylvania all hope is lost for the fledgling US Senator from Illinois. Barack Obama has calculated that if brings Bob Casey Jr. to speak at the convention the people will ignore or forget Obama’s comments and insults about the citizens of the state of Pennsylvania. I don't know how that's going to work out for Obama though; we're still waiting to hear from Bob Casey Jr. ourselves... about anything.

I guess they were pretty close when I heard someone say that the Obama campaign is similar to the Seinfeld show, you know, the show about nothing. Substance is a rare commodity over at the Barack Obama HQ.

This afternoon a good friend sent me an email with a link to a website that I just had to share with all my friends and others that visit here. This website explains a small but important way to thank those that serve this great nation when you come across them in your travels. I understand the concept because many times I have seen a young Marine, Soldier or Sailor in stores or malls and I have no problem going up to them and just saying Thank you. Sometimes they feel a little embarrassed that so much attention is being paid to them unexpectedly. This simple gesture alleviates that by just letting them know you recognize them and are thanking them without the awkwardness that sometimes occurs. It's more like a civilian salute from the heart. I hope this catches on because our men and women need to know that we love them and support them and appreciate the great job they do for us. Thanks for sending this to me Wayne.

It Has Always Been an Individual Right

Today the right of the people to keep and bear arms has been reaffirmed as an individual right as it has always been. The Supreme Court has redeemed itself after a run of poorly thought out decisions of granting rights to non citizen individuals that have no rights guaranteed by our Constitution. The Supreme Court has overturned the Washington D.C. complete ban on firearm ownership. The framers wrote the second amendment to the Constitution as an individual and specific right; A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of free state , the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. Freedom loving Americans already knew this but we thank you Justice Scalia for reaffirming the freedoms that are guaranteed by the Constitution by using correct Constitutional principles.

The reason why this became such an issue over the years is because elitists among us are always afraid of people having individual rights to protect themselves thereby bypassing an all powerful and all seeing government run by bureaucrats and those wishing to squash freedom in the name of safety and control.

I'm sure we will hear from the hand wringing elitist liberals about all the murders that happen everyday by people misusing their gun owning rights by breaking already well established laws. It is already a crime to murder someone whether you use a gun, a knife or a bomb. It is already a crime for a convicted felon to own a firearm. One of the biggest problems today is judges not enforcing the laws we already have that cover minimum sentences for people that use guns in the commission of a crime.

Our Governor of the State of Pennsylvania Edward G. Rendell as Mayor of Philadelphia refused to provide the District Attorney's office with the funding to prosecute criminals with State mandated minimum sentences for crimes committed with a firearms. The National Rifle Association went to the Federal government to get funding for a federal gun crime court while Rendell was Mayor but Rendell fought it tooth and nail but lost out to common sense. Rendell released violent and dangerous criminals back onto the streets as an answer to prison overcrowding instead of investing in prisons and more police. Rendell's solution was to sue gun manufactures until Congress passed legislation preventing such silliness. Rendell as Governor still refuses to provide funding to hire more State police and adamantly opposes hiring more Police for the City of Philadelphia.

Rendell still has the silly notion that limiting access to firearms for the citizens of the state is a better idea than using common sense solutions of putting pressure on judges to do their job of putting criminals in jail, breaking up the welfare state, and providing an atmosphere for job growth by lowering taxes and loosing up on ridiculous regulation and bureaucratic red tape. This is the same type of thinking or lack thereof we will get if Barack Obama is elected President except on a national scale.

Once again the liberal elitists such as Barack Obama and the democrat party will try to divert attention away from the real solutions to violent crime by coddling violent criminals that prey upon tax paying citizens. They will blame the availability of firearms instead tackling the real issues of moral decay, welfare state mentality, single parent children and the respect for life. None of which has anything to do with my rights or your rights to own a firearm to protect ourselves from these criminals that the liberals have created. All this is already clear to the right thinking individuals of this great nation like Supreme Court Justices Antonin Scalia, Clarence Thomas, Chief Justice John Roberts, Anthony Kennedy and Samuel Alito. They still see the same America the framers and the rest of us have always known was there.

The words coming from the mouths of democrats is quite different today than they were before we defeated Saddam Hussein. The democrats are the hypocrites and the losers. Their phony report is meaningless and worthless. Barack Obama did not vote to authorize the war because he was a Illinois State Senator at the time and did not see the full intelligence reports that Biden, Reid, Kerry and Rockefeller were privy to so how could he possibly know whether attacking Iraq was the right thing to do or not. The democrats have politicized the war and they are an impediment to finishing the job they authorized the President to start.

Now the democrats speak as a matter-of-factly that Bush is a no good, lying, war monger because many have been killed in the name of freedom and security. Tomorrow is the long awaited Pennsylvania Primary. As I said when the election first got started; by the time elections come to Pennsylvania it wouldn't make any difference because my vote would not count. I was right. John McCain is the presumptive nominee after garnering the needed amount of moderate votes and delegates to seal his fate. All the other Republican candidates for my district in the US House of Representatives, State Senate and State House of Representatives are running unopposed. I will have a new State Senator and Representative after the election in the fall. My long time State representative is retiring and the State Senator that won a special election last year after my Senator died in office will be tossed out. The only reason he won was he was a County Commissioner and all that the recalcitrant Chester County Republican leadership could do is put up the late Senator's wife to run against him. Is there something about Republicans that like to see holes in their shoes after they get done shooting themselves in the foot? Anyway that embarrassment will be fixed and it will go back to being to the most Conservative district in the State if we can keep the Chester County Republican leadership from loading up their footguns again.

As far as Presidential candidates go. Ron Paul and Mike Huckabee are still on the ballot along with you know who. I did not register as a democrat so I cannot vote for Mrs Inept or Mr despises America. Oh sure, I'll show up at the polls tomorrow to poke sticks in the eye of any of the embarrassing Republican leaders that will be there that were responsible for the State Senate debacle last year. I'll vote for the only candidate that I can vote for on the School Board. Then I'll walk over and take some shots at the two ridiculous democrats that always show up to handout campaign brochures. Later when I get home I'll listen to the results on the news. Hillary Clinton wins by 8-10 percentage points and all my Conservative Republican representatives will have won. Of course even if I write in a name for Republican candidate for President it won't make any difference except to me.

I was at the 1998 NRA Convention in Philadelphia. I was there to see Charlton Heston, cast my vote for the Board of Directors and generally show my support for the NRA. While I was down at the new Convention Center I had the chance to show my disapproval of then Mayor Edward G. Rendell for his nonsensical policies on gun control and crime. I also got to confront gun control extremists that were protesting outside of the convention. I have a long history of being an advocate for Second Amendment rights and confronting anti gun and anti hunting politicians and protesters.I have been a member of the NRA since 1980.

At the convention Mr. Heston proclaimed while holding a 18th century musket high in the air "you will get my guns from my cold dead hands". Meaning you will never take my guns from me while I am alive to defend our freedoms. Later after the speech I was able to get a quick handshake and hello from Mr.Heston. There were a lot of people there vying for his attention but I just wanted to shake his hand and say thank you for all you have done. I did that in mere seconds and he was gone. Mr. Heston's hands were neither cold nor dead but full of life and exuberance.

Charlton Heston's life and accomplishments go far beyond that of being the President and spokesperson of the NRA. His accomplishments will be forever preserved on film and that I cannot add to. Mr.Heston's film accomplishments speak for themself. I would just like to thank him once again for all that he has done to enrich my thoughts and all of his efforts for keeping freedom alive and well.

We have lost two high profile and thoughtful conservatives so far this year with the deaths of Charlton Heston yesterday and William F. Buckley just a few weeks ago. They would want us to continue on meeting the challenges ahead with their same thoughtfulness and entusiasm. Good bye Mr. Heston, my prayers and sympathy go out to your family. You will be missed by all of us.

Women of Chester County Victory Movement

It was a bright and chilly morning in West Chester, Pennsylvania on Saturday morning. The counter insurgency of the Chester County Victory Movement was ready to go though. Last week as we all know our friend Skye of Midnight Blue was viciously assaulted by an anti war mad man that couldn't control his obsessive behavior. Skye is doing alright though, a little shook up but she's going to be OK.

Today I'm going to focus a little on the other women of the Chester County Victory Movement because along with Skye they are the heart and soul of the support for our troops as they fight terrorism overseas to keep us safe at home. The ladies in the above pictures are there almost every week on Saturday mornings to show our troops overseas and at home they are loved and respected at home and not despised as the peace activists try to imply. The peacers speak for themselves and not the rest of us.

During the week after last weeks assault the peacers and the leader of Chester County Victory met with the Chief of Police of West Chester and they agreed to keep their distances and stay on each of their sides of the street. The peacers broke that agreement and as I told the leader of Chester County Victory Movement; that it does no do good to make deals with these people because they are not honorable and will not adhere to any agreements they make. The peacers are not about peace as I have said before. The peacers are about having things their way and they could care less about the country or the troops.

There were no physical altercations, there was some verbal jousting but the peacers did not strike anyone today. The Police were out in force to maintain the peace and the peacers remained peaceful. I won't say too much about the ladies pictured above so as to maintain their privacy but they are true patriots not only supporting the troops but putting their time and caring where their mouths and signs are. Thank you Dee, Sharon and Trish, I am proud to call you Americans and my friends.

I just got word that on Saturday March 22, 2008 my friend Skye was assaulted by a peace protester at the Wester Chester, PA Victory Rally. To say the least I am very upset. I have not been able to make the Victory Rally in West Chester since December because of my new work schedule. Skye has been a tireless warrior at home in support of the troops. Skye has always been very polite to a fault with the peacers and only asked that they do the same. Apparently one veteran peacer from the Chester County Peace Movement became violent and slapped Skye twice while she was filming the peacers on their side of the street. I have a pretty good idea who the person was that assaulted Skye because he has made threatening remarks before. This same peacer is suspected of shoving two women troop supporters from behind into the street while they were standing close to the street and traffic.

I have watched Skye film the peacers and they have not been so polite to her, they call her names and are usually quite rude to her when she asks them simple non threatening questions. The person that assaulted Skye was confronted by the West Chester Police and questioned but the peacer became violent with them and was tackled, wrestled to the ground, handcuffed and arrested. Another peacer was arrested for interefering with the Police while they performed their duties but there is no indication that he became violent with the Police as the other peacer did.

It is the right of every American citizen to say what they want, politically, but when that voice turns to violence the actions of law enforcement must be swift and harsh. I do hope that this particular person that assaulted my friend Skye is put through the legal ringer and is made to pay harshly for his violent outburst. There will be a more in depth report and more pictures on the situation from Skye when she is ready but until then I will pray for her and hope justice is done.

Today we have listened to the story of former Federal Prosecutor and soon to be former Governor of the State of New York Elliot Spitzer. The former Governor to be was caught up in the scandal of an international prostitution ring. Apparently the former Governor was another democrat that just can't seem to obey the same laws that everyone else is expected to obey. This is an age old tradition for arrogant and condescending politicians. "Do as I say not as I do" seems to be the order of the day when it comes to big whig democrats. The extreme arrogance of every one of the people pictured above cannot be measured.

Charles Schumer, on the far left in the picture has done everything in his power to attempt to destroy the US Constitution as far as the first and second amendment is concerned. Elliot Spitzer second from the left is going to have to resign because he can't obey even the simplest of laws and no, this isn't a private matter. Clinton has broken every campaign finance law that has ever been written and has sold the United States out to the Chinese for pennies on the dollar. Andrew Cuomo on the right side of photograph is the New York Attorney General and son of Mario Cuomo, the former three term Governor of New York. Andrew Cuomo worked extensively with former federal prosecutor Elliot Spitzer to prosecute Wall Street crooks and is so intertwined with Elliot Spitzer's political fortunes and more than likely there will be political implications for him with this current situation of Elliot Spitzer.

So all you leftists out there go ahead and attempt to circle the wagons and tell us all how this is a private matter. Keep saying it and as a matter of fact say it as loud as you can and stand up while you're saying it so we can see who you are. This story reminds of me of the Jim McGreevy story. Only a few short years ago the former New Jersey Governor Jim McGreevy had an affair with a man and he thought he could get away with it because of his position as Governor of the State of New Jersey. Former Governor McGreevy had to resign too but not before putting his family through a living hell. I have only sympathy for the families that have to deal with this mess and pick up the pieces of their lives because of these inconsiderate and arrogant men. Elliot Spitzer, Jim McGreevy and Andrew Cuomo are all of my generation and are all about the same age as I am. I'll say it again. I am ashamed of my generation and the total lack of responsibility they have shown over the years. "The Greatest Generation" has spawned the most decadent and irresponsible generation, how can that be?

Gosh, maybe it's just me but isn't it pretty easy to see through all this phony outrage with the New York Times by the McCain campaign over the 1999 story of the young female Paxon Communications lobbyist Vicky Iseman. First of all let's establish a basic point before we venture on from here. John McCain is the endorsed candidate of the New York Times, they chose him as the Republican candidate, he's their man. Now, the New York Times has been sitting on the story about Vicky Iseman since December of 2007. They have had plenty of time to do research and investigation about this story that happened back in 1999-2000 during McCain's first run for President. McCain is said to have gone to bat at the Federal Communications Commission for the company Paxon Communications who employed Vicky Iseman as a lobbyist. There was innuendo that their was some kind of quid pro quo with a sexual tryst involved. That's the basics of the story.

Now on to the next step. The New York Times has released this story just as John McCain has been determined to be the Republican nominee, there is no chance of Mike Huckabee winning enough delegates so McCain is the defacto nominee. The timing of the story release is important for the fact that it is almost six months to the general election and the details of this story will never be known exactly and this story has been around since 2000. The New York Times under Executive Editor Bill Keller decided to release this story now so the McCain campaign can get it out of the way, have it's details debunked and move on. This was a slow pitch by the New York Times for the McCain campaign to hit out of the park over the left field fence.

I'm laughing at all the talking heads calling the New York Times a bunch of lunatic liberals running a hit piece on McCain when nothing could be further from the truth. The New York Times may be a bunch of lunatic liberals but this story was meant so McCain can clean up this dirty little story with it's scant details so they could be done with it. It was up to the McCain campaign to deal with it in manner that is credible to the moderates and liberals that are going to turn out and vote for him in November. The New York Times was testing their endorsed candidate with a softball so when the fast pitches start coming in the New York Times will be able to give McCain some cover from time to time and not be credibly accused of being in the bag for him. If more details come out on this story now or as they say "the story gets legs" it's because the McCain campaign will have failed in their attempt to refute the story and bury the witnesses with all the details showing the weakness of his campaign committee.

There will be one or two more stories like this in the near future to test the McCain campaign to see if it can keep a lid on the caldron. If so they will bury the big stories when it gets close to the general election. This is the way things work for media panderers like McCain. There's plenty of dirt under the nails at McCain central and if he tries to stray too far from the moderate dark side the media will stop providing the soap he needs to clean up his dirt.

The thing that really gets me though is when McCain's campaign manager goes on the talk shows he refers to McCain as the conservative Republican candidate after every sentence. It would be at least honorable if not honest if McCain would just run the campaign he wants to run and pander to the people that are going to turn out and vote for him and most probably elect him to be the moderate Republican President.

This afternoon while I was watching the news I heard this story about 46 year old Michelle Obama. I heard the words that Michelle Obama spoke while giving an address in Milwaukee Wisconsin on Monday. I have no idea who she was addressing but does it really matter? Michelle Obama's words speak for themselves. "For the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of my country,” she told a Milwaukee crowd today, “and not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change.”

Michelle Obama is just a few years younger than myself. She and her husband both are college educated in some of the most prestigious schools in the country. Michelle Obama attended Princeton I believe I heard today but if it was some other Ivy League institution what's the difference. The point is; this woman has to be the most ungrateful person I have heard for sometime. While Michelle was leading her protected life of freedom there were people like myself out on the front lines keeping America from being attacked by the Soviet Union so she could go to the nice college she went to. I worked hard to get where I am today and I am completely sick and tired of hearing people like Michelle Obama constantly bashing America especially since she seems to have no special talents herself other than to have been sent to some nice college.

I am not complaining because it took me extra work to get where I am today. I am not complaining that when I first went for a job I was explicitly told they could not hire me for the job I wanted at the railroad even though I had worked hard and studied hard in school. I was told because I didn't fit the racial quota that was being used at that time to hire people, they couldn't hire me for the job. I am white and the quota they had was for blacks. I am not complaining about that.

I am proud to be an American. I served in the US Navy under the Carter administration and survived the disaster they caused in Iran and the Middle east. I am not complaining about that. I am proud to be an American because of the freedom we have to say stupid things like Michelle Obama has said and not worry that the government will arrest you and throw in jail for it. There are so many things that I am proud to be an American about because we have gotten this far and have overcome many difficulties that were created by past generations.

My own ancestors when they first came to this country from Ireland joined the Army to fight a war they did not start or really know much about until the Minnie balls and canister shot were being fired at them. They did that because they wanted to be Americans and have a stake in the success of the nation. This was right after they had to flee their own nation because the British had refused to help the Irish during the potato blight and had starved them into fleeing. When they did get to America they quit their complaining and did something to improve their conditon despite the outright bigotry against them.

Yes Michelle Obama, there are plenty of things I am proud to be an American about despite the mistakes that were made by past generations. Given that you are about the same age as I am, I can see that the college education you received at that nice college you went to wasn't worth the paper that degree was printed on. You haven't learned a thing since either. I hope you and your husband lose this election and go back to the obscurity you came from because Americans that are proud of America don't want to hear anymore of your denigrating and empty words. This is not a personal attack, this is an admonishment to someone for being so damned ignorant and ungrateful.

In election 2008, don’t forget Angry White Man

There is a great amount of interest in this year’s presidential elections, as everybody seems to recognize that our next president has to be a lot better than George Bush. The Democrats are riding high with two groundbreaking candidates — a woman and an African-American — while the conservative Republicans are in a quandary about their party’s nod to a quasi-liberal maverick, John McCain.

Each candidate is carefully pandering to a smorgasbord of special-interest groups, ranging from gay, lesbian and transgender people to children of illegal immigrants to working mothers to evangelical Christians.

There is one group no one has recognized, and it is the group that will decide the election: the Angry White Man. The Angry White Man comes from all economic backgrounds, from dirt-poor to filthy rich. He represents all geographic areas in America, from urban sophisticate to rural redneck, deep South to mountain West, left Coast to Eastern Seaboard.

His common traits are that he isn’t looking for anything from anyone — just the promise to be able to make his own way on a level playing field. In many cases, he is an independent businessman and employs several people. He pays more than his share of taxes and works hard.

The victimhood syndrome buzzwords — “disenfranchised,” “marginalized” and “voiceless” — don’t resonate with him. “Press ‘one’ for English” is a curse-word to him. He’s used to picking up the tab, whether it’s the company Christmas party, three sets of braces, three college educations or a beautiful wedding.

He believes the Constitution is to be interpreted literally, not as a “living document” open to the whims and vagaries of a panel of judges who have never worked an honest day in their lives.

The Angry White Man owns firearms, and he’s willing to pick up a gun to defend his home and his country. He is willing to lay down his life to defend the freedom and safety of others, and the thought of killing someone who needs killing really doesn’t bother him.

The Angry White Man is not a metrosexual, a homosexual or a victim. Nobody like him drowned in Hurricane Katrina — he got his people together and got the hell out, then went back in to rescue those too helpless and stupid to help themselves, often as a police officer, a National Guard soldier or a volunteer firefighter.

His last name and religion don’t matter. His background might be Italian, English, Polish, German, Slavic, Irish, or Russian, and he might have Cherokee, Mexican, or Puerto Rican mixed in, but he considers himself a white American.

He’s a man’s man, the kind of guy who likes to play poker, watch football, hunt white-tailed deer, call turkeys, play golf, spend a few bucks at a strip club once in a blue moon, change his own oil and build things. He coaches baseball, soccer and football teams and doesn’t ask for a penny. He’s the kind of guy who can put an addition on his house with a couple of friends, drill an oil well, weld a new bumper for his truck, design a factory and publish books. He can fill a train with 100,000 tons of coal and get it to the power plant on time so that you keep the lights on and never know what it took to flip that light switch.

Women either love him or hate him, but they know he’s a man, not a dishrag. If they’re looking for someone to walk all over, they’ve got the wrong guy. He stands up straight, opens doors for women and says “Yes, sir” and “No, ma’am.”

He might be a Republican and he might be a Democrat; he might be a Libertarian or a Green. He knows that his wife is more emotional than rational, and he guides the family in a rational manner.

He’s not a racist, but he is annoyed and disappointed when people of certain backgrounds exhibit behavior that typifies the worst stereotypes of their race. He’s willing to give everybody a fair chance if they work hard, play by the rules and learn English.

Most important, the Angry White Man is pissed off. When his job site becomes flooded with illegal workers who don’t pay taxes and his wages drop like a stone, he gets righteously angry. When his job gets shipped overseas, and he has to speak to some incomprehensible idiot in India for tech support, he simmers. When Al Sharpton comes on TV, leading some rally for reparations for slavery or some such nonsense, he bites his tongue and he remembers. When a child gets charged with carrying a concealed weapon for mistakenly bringing a penknife to school, he takes note of who the local idiots are in education and law enforcement.

He also votes, and the Angry White Man loathes Hillary Clinton. Her voice reminds him of a shovel scraping a rock. He recoils at the mere sight of her on television. Her very image disgusts him, and he cannot fathom why anyone would want her as their leader. It’s not that she is a woman. It’s that she is who she is. It’s the liberal victim groups she panders to, the “poor me” attitude that she represents, her inability to give a straight answer to an honest question, his tax dollars that she wants to give to people who refuse to do anything for themselves.

There are many millions of Angry White Men. Four million Angry White Men are members of the National Rifle Association, and all of them will vote against Hillary Clinton, just as the great majority of them voted for George Bush.

He hopes that she will be the Democratic nominee for president in 2008, and he will make sure that she gets beaten like a drum.

Moderate's Temporary Victory

As history would have it, the moderate, middle of the road, wishy-washy crowd have won a temporary victory getting their man John McCain nominated to run for President in the fall. I think they took advantage of the situation with the democrat's constant barrage of retreat and defeat on the conservatives holding the line over the war in Iraq. The group that call themselves the Republican Mainstreet Partnership have been undermining conservative principles since it's inception. This group of moderate Republicans began just after we won control of Congress in the 1994 "Republican Revolution". Here's a statement from the "History" section of their moderate website:

The November 1994 mid-term elections were commonly referred to as the "Republican Revolution." Given the great gains made by Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate, a group of moderate House Republicans began informal meetings to discuss ways to further a centrist, pragmatic Republican agenda -- one that could accommodate bipartisan legislative results. At that time, there was great concern that a dramatic shift to the right was quickly approaching, given the new congressional leadership.

Given that in the prior fifty years the leftist democrats controlled the US Congress, what did these moderates believe when they said "At that time, there was great concern that a dramatic shift to the right was quickly approaching" Were they worried they would have to give up their minority status and have to stand up and lead? Did they worry they wouldn't be told by their democrat leadership what bill they could put their names on? Before the Republican Revolution of 1994 led by Newt Gingrich these same "Mainstreet Partners" were satisfied being back benchers and losers and they didn't know how to handle success. They believed then as they do now that they must capitulate and let democrat leftists have their way in order to get along.

It has been said that you can make a judgment of a person's character and politics by the enemies they have and not just by the friends they keep. Well the moderates strive to have no enemies and everyone is their friend because they take no stand and have no core principles other than "can't we all just get along". Not in politics baby, its winner takes all and that'll never change.

Go Out and Vote!

I’ve been leaving some comments on other people’s blogs with an idea on how to head off the impending train wreck if John McCain ends up being the Republican nominee. I got the idea from Indigo Red a regular visitor at Mike’s America.

It is now February the 10th and starting Tuesday February the 12th there will be more Primaries in Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia. Then the rest of the states will vote for the Republican nominee until the convention. The plan I have in mind is for the Republican voters to show up in numbers to vote for anyone else but McCain on the primary ballot. The names of the other candidates will still be on most ballots or there will be a place to write in a candidate. We must make it clear before the convention that John McCain is unacceptable as the candidate to oppose the Clintons in the fall for President. There are uncommitted delegates in many of the states like Maine and others. Mitt Romney may have dropped out of the race but that doesn’t mean his delegates automatically go to John McCain. Friends, Romans and countrymen, we must stop this onslaught by John McCainians because he is the wrong man to lead this country and he is certainly not the candidate we want to represent us as a Republican.

We’ve spent the last 8 years wringing our hands about the inaction at the border with 12-15 million lawbreakers coming across our borders to take something from us and giving nothing in return but a burden on our system that belongs to Americans. The conservatives have to take their collective heads out of sand right now or we will be saddled with a President that will be irresponsible with our tax money and try and turn us in to the same type of socialist society that Europeans are now suffering with. Any of the responsible conservatives that have been on the ticket so far have promised to stay the course and support our troops. To let John McCain win the nomination and then go on to the election in the fall is a mistake that will follow the nation and our party for years to come. If you are a conservative you must go out and vote for the conservative candidate for the Senate, House and your State races but you also have to send the message to the Republican leadership with the primaries that are left “WE DON”T WANT JOHN McCAIN!” There is still time left to correct this impending catastrophe.

Last night I watched the returns from the South Carolina Primary and even I was amazed that Barrack Obama had thoroughly beaten the Clintons by almost double the margin that was predicted. I watched Obama give his thank you address to a crowd of his supporters and he drilled home the reasons why he had won such an overwhelming victory over the Clintons. The Clintons had played the "race baiting" game and the people of South Carolina saw through this ploy and delivered Barrack Obama one of the few victories he will see in the democrat primaries.

Later I had made my tea and settled down after getting home from work. I listened to the speech Clinton gave to her disaffected supporters. Clinton told them this was a set back but she and her husband would go on campaigning to eventually win the primaries and go on to beat the Republicans in the fall. Clinton said she wanted to do this so she could give out free health care to everyone, make the rich poor and to restore the moral authority of America in the world's eyes.

I thought about that last statement for a moment, "moral authority". Then I thought about the the woman that just made this statement, "return the moral authority of America". I don't know about anyone else but it seemed to me that after watching the the downright dirty race baiting the Clintons used to try and beat Barrack Obamma in the South Carolina primary, the last words you could use in the same sentence to describe the actions of the Clintons is anything but "moral authority".

Alright now, enough, it's time to put things back in perspective. John McCain won the South Carolina primary because he worked hard at it. Now it's time for the other candidates to work just as hard to make sure he his defeated in his attempt to become the Republican Party nominee. McCain's victory wasn't that hard to predict, he lost there eight years ago in a tightly contested race with George W. Bush largely because he didn't work as hard as Bush did to get out his voters. When he came back to South Carolina this year he wanted revenge and vindication.

The next state to hold a primary is Florida. McCain can be stopped if he suffers a third or fourth place finish. Rudy Giuliani needs this win in Florida to stay in the race. Mitt Romney has more wins and more delegates than McCain and one more major win by Romney will have a devastating effect on McCain's ability to raise money. The independents and democrats are turning out to vote for McCain so now the Republicans have to get the base out to vote for Giuliani or Romney in Florida to put a stop to this "disaster express" because if McCain wins the nomination it's " Sig heil Clinton" and you all know it even if you don't want to admit it. It's truth time.

We must use the same type of tenaciousness and resolve to overcome what looks like now the fracturing of the GOP by a power mad, ill tempered, unsuitable and utterly contemptuous candidate. Tonight when I got home from work and turned on the news I found out that the candidate I have endorsed, Mitt Romney, had won the Michigan primary. Congratulations Governor Romney, you deserved the win. Not only did Mitt Romney win the Michigan primary he beat the next highest candidate by 8 percentage points which is an overwhelming win to me. OK, nice win Governor but the fight goes on. The next stop for the candidates is South Carolina on Saturday. I think with this overwhelming victory over John McCain and Mike Huckabee that Mitt has a good chance of winning South Carolina too.

Mit Romney is a decent guy and is working hard for every vote that he gets. Quite frankly I think he's the only viable candidate to beat the Clinton smear machine. Mitt Romney was the Governor of Massachusetts and that scares some of my rather conservative friends but I say Mitt is an honorable man that will be strong on defense, strong on the economy and he may not please everyone when it comes to some social issues. That's just being honest and upfront with all my friends and those considering voting for another candidate. Some of the other candidates claim their conservative records are consistant. I say to them that in this election you may claim consistant conservative ideals but you have to be elected to implement those ideals.

Lets' see what happens next. I am FOR Mitt Romney for President.

I made myself sit down and watch the Fox News Presidential Forum and nothing has changed for me. I usually don't get very worked up about Primaries. I learned a hard lesson about that many years ago when I wasted a lot of my time and resources only to find out my vote or opinion does not count in Presidential Primaries. I will have no say in who the nominee will be thanks to powerful school board interests in Pennsylvania. Those school board interests block us from changing our primaries so our vote in the Presidential Primary is moot for their own petty parochial interests. They always tell us that they don't want to change the voting to February because it's too cold in February. That's horse apples, they don't want to change it because their budgets are scheduled to be submitted by the first of the year and that is too close to elections and voters might take issue how high their taxes are about to be raised and vote the tax and spenders out. That's reality for all you Ronulans out there posting Ron Paul signs in Thorndale and West Chester.

Anyway, if my vote did count I would go out and vote for Mitt Romney. Governor Romney is the only candidate on the Republican side that is prepared and has the stamina to go against the Clinton attack machine.

During the forums I observed the same behavior from John McCain that I have always noticed about him. There is this seething anger just below the surface that seems like at any moment he is going to explode.

As far as the other candidates are concerned. None of them seemed especially interested in being there. Fred Thompson has good ideas but he came off to me like he was saying "OK do I have to still keep campaigning?" Governor Huckabee still thinks he's a side show barker or snake oil salesman selling medicine we all know is not good for us. I don't know what happened to Rudy, it doesn't seem like it matters if he loses in New Hampshire or not. I think every vote should be gone after and Rudy is making a big mistake ignoring people that will vote for him if he went after their vote. This is going to be the third primary and he hasn't even placed in the top five yet. Rudy seems to be under the impression that he can win by going after the big States rich in delegates like Florida. That strategy is risky and serves to alienate conservative voters that have to be respected.

This is how I see things right now. Things may change later on but the only candidate I see as able to go head to head with the people that are going to stop at nothing to get elected is Mitt Romney. Make no mistake about it, Obama will eliminated by the Clinton attack machine in fairly short order. A lightweight like Obama is no match for the dirty politics that the Clinton organized crime family is capable of.

My very good friend Marie of Marie's Two Cents has posted a story of the memorial for the Battleship USS Oklahoma BB-37 that was sunk at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. The Oklahoma was the only battleship that was lost at Pearl Harbor that did not have it's own memorial. It was through the diligent work of some very tough and determined sailors that served aboard her that there is now a memorial. Go to Marie's and read about it. Today is Veteran's Day. Please thank a veteran today for his or her service because without their service we would not be the free nation we are today. There is an ever shrinking number of WWII veterans and Korean War veterans numbers are dwindling too. Go hug your Grandfather, Uncle or shake your neighbor's hand and just say "Thank You" because they may not be around too much longer. There are a lot of Vietnam Veterans out there that need recognition too so just say "Thank You' to any Veteran you can find. It's important that we honor, respect and recognize the service of all veterans today.

A few years ago I had the opportunity to trace a part of my family history back to 16th century Spain. My ancestor was a Spanish sailor. The Spanish fleet was sent by King Philip of Spain to invade England but when they engaged the English fleet at the Battle of Gravelines in 1588 the Spaniards were hopelessly out maneuvered by the tactics of Sir Francis Drake. During the retreat of the Spanish fleet to the north around the British Isles and then south along the west coast of Ireland a storm wrecked some of the retreating Spanish ships and some of the crews were able to survive after making it ashore. One of those that made it ashore and survive was an ancestor of mine. My ancestor's surname was very Spanish sounding and actually meant castle builder in Spanish. My family's named evolved from there to it's present day form somewhere during the 17th century. No it is not the name you see on my profile, that is another side of my family. The Gallagher name was present in Ireland long before the Spanish Armada. After reading accounts of how the survivors of the Spanish Armada in Ireland were treated I understood better where my fighting and survival instincts come from. In order to survive that ordeal a person would have to be one heck of a swimmer, fighter, survior and be in the good graces of God.

Just recently I was reminded of all this history that I had researched a few years ago. The movie "Elizabeth" was just released and it is supposed to be about this power struggle between two powerful European nations; Spain and England in the 16th century. The Spanish King Philip sent a huge fleet of ships to invade England to wrest control from Elizabeth the Queen of England. I plan on going to see this movie because of my extreme interest in seeing an event portrayed in history that had a direct effect on who I am today.

24 years ago on October 23, 1983, around 6:20 am, a yellow Mercedes-Benz delivery truck drove to Beirut International Airport, where the 1st Battalion 8th Marines, under the U.S. 2nd Marine Division of the United States Marines, had set up its local headquarters. The truck turned onto an access road leading to the Marines' compound and circled a parking lot. The driver then accelerated and crashed through a barbed wire fence around the parking lot, passed between two sentry posts, crashed through a gate and barreled into the lobby of the Marine headquarters. The Marine sentries at the gate were operating under their rules of engagement, which made it very difficult to respond quickly to the truck. By the time the two sentries had locked, loaded, and shouldered their weapons, the truck was already inside the building's entry way.

The suicide bomber detonated his explosives, which were equivalent to 12,000 pounds (about 5,400kg) of TNT. The force of the explosion collapsed the four-story cinder-block building into rubble, crushing many inside.

About 20 seconds later, an identical attack occurred against the barracks of the French Third Company of the Sixth French Parachute Infantry Regiment. Another suicide bomber drove his truck down a ramp into the building's underground parking garage and detonated his bomb, leveling the headquarters.

Rescue efforts continued for days. While the rescuers were at times hindered by sniper fire, some survivors were pulled from the rubble and airlifted to the RAF hospital in Cyprus or to U.S. and German hospitals in West Germany [1].

The death toll was 241 American servicemen: 220 Marines, 18 Navy personnel and 3 Army soldiers. Sixty Americans were injured. In the attack on the French barracks, 58 paratroopers were killed and 15 injured. In addition, the elderly Lebanese custodian of the Marines' building was killed in the first blast. [1] The wife and four children of a Lebanese janitor at the French building also were killed.[2]

This was the deadliest single-day death toll for the United States Marine Corps since the Battle of Iwo Jima (2,500 in one day) of World War II and the deadliest single-day death toll for the United States military since the 243 killed on 31st January 1968 — the first day of the Tet offensive in the Vietnam war. The attack remains the deadliest post-World War II attack on Americans overseas.

The 1983 Beirut barracks bombing was a major incident during the Lebanese Civil War. Two truck bombs struck buildings in Beirut housing U.S. and French members of the Multinational Force in Lebanon, killing hundreds of soldiers, the majority being U.S. Marines. The October 23, 1983, blasts led to the withdrawal of the international peacekeeping force from Lebanon, where they had been stationed since the Israeli invasion in 1982.

This is the account of the 1983 bombing of the Marine Barracks in Beirut from Wikipedia but it doesn’t completely explain the rules of engagement that contributed so much to the relative ease at which this attack was carried out.

The Marines were sent to Lebanon to be peace keepers by President Ronald Reagan. The rules of engagement were stated by then Secretary of Defense Casper Weinberger that weapons are not to be loaded and the Marines could not return fire unless it became necessary to defend the position from an attack. When the truck bomber made his run at the front gate the guards had to load their magazines into their rifles and then charge the chamber of their M-16 rifles which takes only seconds but it was long enough to make them unable to stop the truck bomber from completing his mission. Soon after the clean up of the barracks and our dead recovered the Marines were pulled out of Beirut on order from President Reagan. The leaders of the terrorists sponsoring nations such as Iran, Iraq, Syria and later Osama Bin Laden took this as a sign of weakness and called America the “Paper Tiger” which caused them to become emboldened in their endeavors to seek power through terrorists’ activities. Years later Reagan understood and admitted that he had made a huge mistake by withdrawing the Marines and not arming them to the teeth while they were there. A huge lesson had been learned from the deaths of 241 American servicemen. There is no substitute to standing your ground and fighting from a strong well defended position, appeasement never works.

Blogger is experiencing difficulties with their image uploading tool. I was able to upload the two photos of these two wonderful women that I took last Saturday in West Chester, Pennsylvania. There are a couple of other pictures of great women that I have met in the last few weeks and I have attempted to upload them but to no avail.

I just want to say Thank You to; Skye, Barbara, Dee and all the other women and men that have turned out to show their support for our country and our troops. No longer do the peacenicks at the Chester County Courthouse have the only voice. They do not speak for me and apparently they do not speak for most of the passersby either. The reception that we have received since we have started this counterinsurgency has been overwhelmingly positive. We hear comments from many drivers stopped at the traffic lights like ; it's great you're here, God bless the troops, the antiwar people don't speak for me either. The best indication is the noise that the drivers make as they go by when we ask them to honk their horns for the troops. It's loud and consistent. We even experienced a moment last week when a large group of bikers were stopped at the light and they saw all the American flags flying and we asked them to honk for the troops. The bikers proceeded to rev up their engines all at once and a couple bikes were smoking up their tires. It was absolutely deafening and they made so much noise the peacenicks had to move away from the street with their negative impeach this, anti this or anti that bullshit signs.

This insurgency to take back the corner and voice what Americans really think has been an overwhelming success. The support for our men and women in uniform is unanimous in this part of the country. They deserve nothing less. I expect the turnout to be huge this week. Our troops have vanquished Al qaeda in Iraq and we're going to be there in front of the Courthouse to let them know just how much we appreciate all they've been through. They have endured a clever and determined enemy, incompetent leadership, severe morale draining insults from congressional democrat leadership and outright lies and distortions from a biased press. After all those things they are still able to prevail. The world has just witnessed the true character and honor these men and women have. It's a no wonder they are the envy of the world.

Yesterday the committee that awards the Nobel Peace Prize made their announcement of their choices for the award. The winners were Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change based in Geneva Switzerland that was founded in 1988. The other half of the prize went to former Vice President algore. The reason they cited for awarding this prize to such questionable nominees were "for their efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change, and to lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract such change".

Since the release of the movie that algore created called “An Inconvenient Truth” it has been shown that the facts that algore used are questionable at best and an outright lie at worst. There is no question the planet earth is in a warming mode and scientists that are free to speak agree that this is a natural and inevitable function due to the many natural and uncontrollable factors that affect the earth. We will have to make adjustments like growing different crops in areas where certain crops are grown now but no drastic measures will be needed to solve such natural changes.

I liken the scare tactics algore has used to those that I read about when I was young. Christopher Columbus was a pretty slick guy too and he used a trick on native Indians in 1504; Columbus learned that there would be a total eclipse of the moon. (Acting as if he was religious), he told the Indians that God would punish them by removing the light unless they promised to supply the Spaniards with plenty of cassava, corn and fish...The Indians did not believe this but before the eclipse was complete, they, with great howling and lamentation, came running from every direction to the ships laden with provisions, praying to Columbus to intercede with God in their behalf."

Sound familiar? I’m sure it does, it is exactly the same principle algore is using to promote himself and his phony cause to make money and possibly make another run for the Presidency. The once highly prestigious Nobel Peace that was created by Alfred Nobel to reward those that show uncommon dedication to excellence has now been rendered meaningless by recognizing algore for his petty parlor trick.

I became astutely aware of the consequences of voting and how our political system directly affected my life just a short while after James Earl Carter was sworn into office as President of the United States. The year was 1977 and I was already on my second year in the United States Navy. I had just returned from a North Atlantic cruise and I had visited most of the northern European nations that were members of NATO. I witnessed the aggressive moves of Soviet Union cruisers, destroyers, bombers and reconnaissance planes up close in the North Atlantic and Artic Oceans and the Baltic and North Seas.

While still on the deployment I had requested and I had received an absentee ballot so that I would be able vote for President. I thought it was very important to vote because our government had been in a constant state of disarray since Richard Nixon had resigned only two years before in August of 1974. Gerald Ford the Vice-President was now the leader of our nation. Gerald Ford had become Vice-President after Nixon’s Vice-President Spiro Agnew had resigned in disgrace in1973 because of his involvement in a tax evasion and money laundering scandal. Then I remembered the unsavory hearings for Nelson Rockefeller when he was nominated by Gerald Ford to become his Vice President. The Vietnam War had just ended in a humiliating defeat and I had joined the US Navy just days after the famous helicopter photographs of the American Embassy being evacuated from Saigon in April 1975 were taken. That was a very confusing time to be deciding for my first time who I wanted to be President of the United States. It was very important though because the next President could have a direct effect on my life. I was more accurate about that assumption than I could ever know at that time.

As I looked upon this absentee ballot I had two choices; Gerald Ford (Republican) and James Earl Carter (democrat). I had to look back to all the things that I had learned in the past from the studies of history that Dr. Itzko, my High School History teacher made sure I had learned (Thanks Dr. Itzko). I also wanted to understand which candidate my parents would be voting for because now that I was a couple of thousand miles away from home I was starting to see that my parents really did know what they talking about at times.

Well, as it turned out I ended up voting for Carter for many reasons. First and foremost he claimed to be a devout Christian. Second; my parents were working class democrats and my favorite politician of all time, Philadelphia Mayor Frank L. Rizzo was a democrat. Lastly; Carter seemed to be a competent and viable alternative to the fumbling and bumbling character that Gerald Ford always appeared to be. It didn’t take long before the country was painfully aware that we had made a huge mistake electing Carter for our President. Inflation went to an all time high; interest rates went through the roof making it almost impossible to buy a house or automobile. Our stature as a superpower capable of defending ourselves from an attack from the Soviets came into question. The mistakes that the Carter administration made then put us into a war with Islamic terrorists that we are still fighting now. All of that can be attributed to Carter’s incompetence, weakness and poor decision making abilities. At the end of his term in office I was certain that I would have to gather a lot more information about the candidates before I cast my vote for President of the United States again.

When Ronald Reagan was sworn into office I had cautious optimism that I had voted for the right man this time. Reagan was full of optimism himself and I liked that. I was now a registered Republican and I felt that it really was “Morning in America” as Reagan would say. The things that troubled the country at that time did not happen overnight and were not going to be corrected overnight. I did what I could to help out, I bought a lot of Ketchup and I worked hard to improve myself. After some months of being a civilian I joined the active US Naval reserves because it seemed like Reagan had it in his mind to vastly improve the military instead of driving it into obscurity as Carter had almost done. Ronald Reagan did improve the strength and morale in the military and we became the strong, the proud and enthused fighting force that we deserved to be. I left the US Navy Reserves in 1985 by not reenlisting because I had landed a civilian job that required that I work six days a week but I’ll always cherish the time I spent serving my country under Ronald Wilson Reagan.

Fast forward to the late 1980’s; George H. W. Bush is now President, the democrat controlled Congress is pushing hard for more gun control laws. George Bush has reneged on his promise of “no new taxes”. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms is now making headlines regularly by raiding private citizen’s homes looking for weapons and destroying people’s lives with only small bits of hear-say evidence. George H.W. Bush is making speeches calling for “a New World Order” after the fall of the Berlin Wall dividing Germany for the last 45 years. During an assault and standoff in a place called Ruby Ridge, Idaho the FBI murders family members of white separatist Randy Weaver. There were so many conspiracy theories floating about at that time that there isn’t enough space here to enumerate them all. This was the manna that the opportunist conspiracy theorists had been waiting for. The memberships with organizations that foment the despair of conspiracy theories like the John Birch Society and many others soar to new heights. This is prime time for opportunists looking to capitalize on the fears of people that think the government is “out to get them”.

The laudable goals of Ronald Reagan and the conservative movement to promote the benefits of a smaller government that taxes less and regulates less was subverted by conspiracy organizations and the politicians that pander to them. They espoused the idea that anything the government does, it does so in order that it can control every aspect of your life to benefit some sinister and all power international conspiracy. The conspiracy theorists claim international secret societies will soon be profiting from your enslavement to the government. I’m sorry to say that for a while I fell for that nonsense and I went to meetings and talked with people about every kind of conspiracy theory that can be dreamed up. The real insidious nature about conspiracy theories is; once they are started they can never be stopped no matter how much evidence is provided to disprove it. When I look back at the couple of years I believed or thought I believed in all these conspiracies, I ask myself; how could you have fallen for that nonsense? It was easy though, I was going through a difficult time in my life when things were in turmoil for me. This is exactly what cults and mind control organizations are looking for; people that are in personal turmoil because there is less resistance to their outlandish ideas.

After I was able to resolve my personal turmoil I was able to see that these conspiracy theory people are nothing but opportunists that feed upon people that have problems with being paranoid or other social detachment problems. I was able to become a functioning part of society again and I moved away from those conspiracy theory people. I hold them in complete contempt now and expose them for the detrimental effects they have on our society.

The way I see it now is; there is nothing wrong with us wanting our government to be more efficient and for them to take less money in taxes so we can use it better for our own lives and the lives of our families. We must be vigilant to not let the government control things that should be controlled by the private sector. There are however things that have to be under the control of our government that the private sector cannot or will not do. Law enforcement has to be under the control of the government. The military has to be under the control of the government. Food safety and inspection has to be done by the government and it has to be done better than it is being done now. We can afford to have our government shrink in size because it has become too large; it has become too wasteful and too inefficient. Remember though that the government is supposed to be “by the people and for the people” The government is supposed to be us, not some partisan political hack that enjoys the fact you are not watching the store.

The reason our government seems to be out of control is the fault of those people that do not take a little of their time to vote and call or write to their representatives to tell them what they are thinking about the issues. There is no international secret society that controls some cynical and lazy government bureaucrat or legislator that makes their stupidity a sinister conspiracy to control your life. What we need is for citizens to become more involved in the political process and hold the politicians and government bureaucrats responsible for their actions. Right now only a small percentage of highly partisan people choose to take part in the responsibility of voting. It’s time for every legal voter to step up and do their part. You may however, check your conspiracy theories at the door.

Really Bashing the Troops

It took thousands of words from the dishonest and dishonorable organization "Media Matters" to turn two words from Rush Limbaugh into a complete lie. The words you are about to hear from this democrat Senator speak for themselves.

Senate Majority leader Harry Reid never once asked Senator Schumer to apologize for his disrespectful and untrue allegations that amount to nothing less than really bashing the efforts, the blood, the loss of life and dedication of our troops. They both should resign from the United States Senate as I have repectfully written to them and asked them to do.

Dishonor and Disgrace

This is a very fitting caption for such images don’t you think? The two pictured Senators have done more to bring dishonor to the United States Senate than all the Senators that have come before and a good way into the future. Senator Harry Reid has disgraced himself and the Senate as a body and all the people the Senate represents. Senator Reid was handed a script by the much maligned and anti-American organization Media Matters to repeat a lie about private citizen and conservative Radio Talk Show host Rush Limbaugh. Reid accused Limbaugh of smearing the troops when nothing could be further from the truth. The conversation Mr. Limbaugh was having that Senator Reid is lying about was with a caller on Mr. Limbaugh’s show. The caller and Mr. Limbaugh were discussing a fake soldier named Jesse Adam Macbeth. MacBeth had made up stories about his service in Iraq and claimed he had witnessed atrocities committed by American soldiers. It turns out Macbeth flunked out of Army basic training after only a few weeks. Macbeth admitted in Federal Court in 2007 that he lied about the whole matter and only served 44 days before he was discharged as being unfit for service.

Senator Clinton in her zeal to smear all that oppose her being the first female president was behind the formation of Media Matters. The funding for this smear organization came from billionaire extremist George Soros. Senator Clinton has consistently denied she had anything to do with Media Matters but at the Yearly Kos convention she admitted to being behind the formation of this disgraceful smear organization that focuses on taking the words of commentators and news organizations and actually turns them into something that was never said. I was always taught that was lying. It does not surprise me though. After 8 years of the Clintons we all know there is nothing they won’t say or do to gain and maintain power.

As far as Rush Limbaugh goes; you may disagree with some of his opinions and you may not like his political stance. I, as a real veteran with credentials to prove it think Mr. Limbaugh is a true patriot and would never in his entire life do anything to smear any soldier or sailor that has served their country with honor no matter what political affiliation that service person may be. The term “fake soldier” that Mr. Limbaugh used to describe Jesse Adam Macbeth is accurate and Senator Reid owes Mr. Limbaugh an apology. Senator Reid has consistently insulted the fine men and women that serve this country and is now trying to deflect his contempt for those fine people. I ask the democrats to reconsider their contemptuous position and ask Senator Reid to step down and issue an apology to the troops.

Please call your Senators's office and ask them to condemn Senator Reid's remarks about Mr. Limbaugh and please call Senator Reid's offfice too.

Alpine (APA-92) was launched 10 July 1943 by Western Pipe and Steel Co., San Francisco, Calif., for the Maritime Commission, as Sea Arrow; sponsored by Mrs. Helen Marsh, transferred to the Navy 30 September 1943; and commissioned 22 April 1944, Lieutenant Commander G.K.G. Reilly in command.

Alpine joined the Pacific Fleet and during 21-27 July 1944 took part in the invasion of Guam. She returned to Pearl Harbor before steaming westward to participate in the Leyte landings (20 October). After loading reinforcements at Hollandia, Alpine returned to Leyte 18 November. Scarcely had the transport arrived off Leyte when she was hit by a Japanese suicide plane which demolished one small landing craft, killing its three-man crew, and tore a hole in the port side. Alpine completed unloading and retired to Manus, Admiralty Islands, for repairs. Repairs were completed in time for Alpine to take part in the Lingayen landings (11 January 1945) and the landings around Subic Bay, Luzon (29-30 January). She spent the next two months as temporary repair ship for the small landing craft at Leyte.

In March 1945 Alpine departed Leyte for the Okinawa landings (1 April) At 1910 on 1 April, before she could land all her troops, Alpine was hit again by a Japanese suicide plane. The plane crashed through the forward deck setting fire to numbers two, three, and four holds. Alpine had 21 of her passengers killed, 18 of her passengers and 8 of her crew wounded. She completed temporary repairs at Okinawa, 7 April, and then steamed to Seattle, Wash., for permanent repairs, arriving 30 May.
